Baseball Recap: Esperanza Comes Up Short

Esperanza lost to Sonora on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Aztecs fell 6-2 to the Raiders. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Esperanza saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tungsten DeArte, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. Brody Reeds also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Esperanza's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Sonora, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Esperanza nor Sonora have any future games scheduled.
