Volleyball Recap: Warner Christian Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Warner Christian Academy was the 3-0 winner over Riverbend Academy when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Tuesday. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 25-20 in the first set.

Warner Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 26-24, 26-24, 25-19.

Gracie McCray paced Warner Christian Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. McCray got some help from Jackie Leon and her 16 assists. McCray was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Warner Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Riverbend Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warner Christian Academy will venture away from home to face off against Burns Sci-Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverbend Academy, they will face off against Faith Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
