Cedar had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Jordan Beetdiggers a 17-0 shutout. The Reds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Shaylee Johnson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and two stolen bases. That home run was her first of the season. Mya Bishoff was another key player, going 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Johnson wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Cedar kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jordan only managed one hit.

Cedar's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Jordan, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Cedar will be playing at home against American Leadership Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. American Leadership Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.75 runs per game on average), something Cedar will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Jordan, they will head out to challenge Springville at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Jordan's pitchers better be ready for this one: Springville has averaged an impressive 12.2 runs per game this season.
