McDowell had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the East Rutherford Cavaliers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Titans were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Cavaliers, so the Titans were just returning the favor.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 25-22.

McDowell's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for East Rutherford, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

McDowell will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cavaliers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
