Soccer Recap: Fergus Falls Comes Up Short

Fergus Falls lost against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Otters fell just short of the Comets by a score of 1-0. Fergus Falls fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy since Saturday.

Fergus Falls' loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fergus Falls will welcome Detroit Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, they will square off against Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillcrest Lutheran Academy will be up against Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.88 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
