Soccer Game Preview: Maple Mountain vs. Spanish Fork

The Maple Mountain Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Spanish Fork Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maple Mountain is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Last Thursday, Maple Mountain made easy work of Springville and carried off a 5-1 victory. With Maple Mountain ahead 3-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Their offense was hitting Springville from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Spanish Fork was forced to settle for a draw. They and Timpview finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw last Thursday.

Spanish Fork's draw makes their record 4-5-1 this season. As for Maple Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Maple Mountain was able to grind out a solid victory over Spanish Fork in their previous matchup back in March, winning 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
