Soccer Game Preview: Ooltewah vs. McMinn County

The Ooltewah Owls are headed away from home for the first time to challenge the McMinn County Cherokees at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ooltewah's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Ooltewah fell victim to Alcoa and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Tornadoes, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, McMinn County had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on Red Bank with a sharp 5-1 win on Saturday.

Ooltewah's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for McMinn County, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Ooltewah skirted past McMinn County 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Owls since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
