Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Crownpoint

Crownpoint won against Thoreau last Friday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. The Crownpoint Eagles came out on top against the Wingate Bears by a score of 42-35. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Bears back in January, they had to take a 51-45 defeat.

Crownpoint's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-13. As for Wingate, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Crownpoint will head out to challenge Tohatchi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tohatchi will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Crownpoint surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wingate, they will host Zuni at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Zuni is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season.
