Volleyball Recap: Clay County Takes a Loss

Clay County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Perry County Central Commodores. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2022.

Clay County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Perry County Central, they moved to 3-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clay County will welcome Williamsburg at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Perry County Central, they will square off against Hazard at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Commodores' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
