Softball Recap: Canyon View Jaguars vs. Willow Canyon Wildcats

Canyon View can now show off 21 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past the Willow Canyon Wildcats 9-3. Winning may never get old, but Canyon View sure is getting used to it with their 15th in a row.

Emily Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Rylen Buchberger was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mariana Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.

On Willow Canyon's side, Rylee Turlington was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and a double.

Canyon View pushed their record up to 29-3 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Willow Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 27-10.
