Volleyball Recap: Lehi Pioneers vs. Lone Peak Knights
Lehi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lone Peak Knights, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 9th.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-21.
Aliya Shewell paced Lehi's offense, picking up 11 kills. Shewell got some help from Savannah Morehead and her 15 assists. Paige Wakumoto controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Lehi's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Lone Peak, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 15-9.
Lehi didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Bingham on the 2nd. As for Lone Peak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against American Fork on the 2nd.
