Basketball Recap: The Woodlands Wins Going Away Against Columbia

The Woodlands saw some tournament action on Saturday. They blew past the Columbia Roughnecks 66-43. Given the Highlanders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 434th, while the Roughnecks are ranked 1089th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The Woodlands' victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Columbia, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

The Woodlands wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 79-77 win against Alief Elsik on the 28th. As for Columbia, they will welcome Navasota at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Navasota will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Columbia surely won't give up without a fight.
