Woodland Christian entered their tilt with Golden Sierra on Thursday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Grizzlies 53-0. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 666th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Isaiah Hunt continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 402 yards and three TDs while completing 89.3% of his passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in August. A healthy portion of Hunt's aerial production (124 yards to be exact) went to Elliott Holleman.

Woodland Christian didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Golden Sierra to a completion percentage of just 35%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Noah Hinkle, Malachi Durham, and Lincoln Paschke, who each logged one passes deflected. Woodland Christian hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.63 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Woodland Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Durham, Cesar Abraham Villegas, Hinkle, and Malakai Baker picked up one apiece. Abraham Villegas has been hot, having also posted eight or more total tackles the last five times he's played.

Woodland Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Golden Sierra, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Looking ahead, after each having a week off, Woodland Christian and Bradshaw Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Golden Sierra, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 20-7 defeat against El Dorado on the 7th.
