Basketball Recap: Swansboro Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Swansboro had won five straight road games and Kendall Hackworth did her part to make it six on Monday. The Swansboro Pirates claimed a resounding 59-21 victory over the Richlands Wildcats thanks in part to Hackworth, who went 9 for 17 on her way to 23 points. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Gianna Fandino, who posted 12 points and six assists. Those six assists gave her a new career-high.

Swansboro has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Richlands, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Swansboro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-43 loss against Croatan on the 28th. Richlands has also already played their next game, a 53-32 defeat against White Oak on the 28th.
