Volleyball Recap: Arapahoe Victorious

Arapahoe won the last time they faced Dakota Ridge and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Eagles 2-1.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Arapahoe got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 11-25, 15-11.

Skylar Kennedy paced Arapahoe's offense, picking up eight kills. Kennedy got some help from Addie Loughner and her 23 assists. Loughner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Arapahoe has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Dakota Ridge, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.

Arapahoe has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Denver North on the 10th. As for Dakota Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Monarch on the 10th.
