Football Recap: Winchester Community Falls Short of Lapel in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Winchester Community can now relate to. They were beaten by the Lapel Bulldogs 32-0 on Friday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Golden Falcons were not able to get on the board.

Devin Craig was his usual excellent self, throwing for 302 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt for Lapel. That's the most passing yards Craig has posted since back in October of 2024.

Winchester Community's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2. As for Lapel, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Winchester Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lapel, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 26-22 win against Eastern Hancock on the 31st.
