Basketball Recap: Horse Creek Academy Takes a Loss

Horse Creek Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 60-53 to the Calhoun County Saints. The Stallions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Saints earlier this season, when they won 70-64.

Despite the loss, Horse Creek Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Aidan Walls posted 22 points. Another player making a difference was RJ Patrick, who scored 12 points.

Horse Creek Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Calhoun County, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Horse Creek Academy will be playing at home against Williston-Elko at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Calhoun County, they will face off against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Calhoun County likes a good challenge.
