Softball Recap: Gainesville Comes Up Short

Gainesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 17-2 to the Sanger Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 back in March.

Kennedy Dodson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Gainesville's record now sits at 4-17. As for Sanger, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Gainesville nor Sanger have any future games scheduled.
