Softball Recap: Eastbrook Wins Going Away Against Madison-Grant

With a playoff win on the line, Eastbrook rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Madison-Grant Argylls as they made off with a 15-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 13 games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Eastbrook got a massive performance out of Randy Casto, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Casto a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Legg, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs and one RBI.

Eastbrook hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matches.

Eastbrook's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Madison-Grant, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-10.

Coming up, Eastbrook will take on Alexandria-Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. Madison-Grant does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
