Softball Recap: Neptune Scarlet Fliers vs. Lakewood Piners
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Trinity Hall, Neptune was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Lakewood Piners with a sharp 16-0 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Scarlet Fliers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Kadidja Braxton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She also tossed two walks, marking her first of the season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Gianna Massimino was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with eight RBI, two triples, and one run. Those eight RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lauren Cassidy, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
