Baseball Game Preview: Westside Rams vs. Eastside Eagles + Official Tickets

Westside hasn't had much luck against Eastside recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Rams will head out to take on the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Westside made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Wren, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Rams fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 7-5 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered since April 10, 2025.

Westside got a good showing from Henry Perry, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those zero earned runs gave Perry a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Westside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Milford, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Milford is becoming a predictor of the Rams' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 6-10 when he doesn't). Another was Tanner Schmitz, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Eastside was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of Spartanburg by a score of 2-1.

Westside's record is now 9-11. As for Eastside, their record now sits at an identical 9-11.

Westside couldn't quite finish off Eastside in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 and fell 10-8. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
