Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Buffalo

Buffalo's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past the St. Michael-Albertville Knights with points to spare, taking the game 63-48. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bison's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Knights are ranked 17th).

Buffalo is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for St. Michael-Albertville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buffalo will take on Andover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Michael-Albertville, they will square off against Eden Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Eden Prairie's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.
