McCreary Central never let their opponents score on Saturday. They blew past the Pineville Mountain Lions 18-0. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Kolton Summers made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs and four RBI.

In other batting news, Kase Spradlin was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nate Losey, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

McCreary Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pineville only posted an OBP of .286.

McCreary Central's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Pineville, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: McCreary Central beat the Mountain Lions by a score of 19-1 later that day.
