Berthoud is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Resurrection Christian is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Spartans will host the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Berthoud's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 35-0 victory over Valley. The high-scoring effort was just what the Spartans needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

09/12/25 vs Weld Central | 141.7 |
09/05/25 vs Moffat County | 137.5 |
10/10/25 vs Valley | 134.7 |

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Berthoud to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trae Anderson, who threw for 211 yards and four TDs. Anderson's passing game has become a key predictor of the Spartans' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise. Another receiver making a difference was Jayce Newbill, who picked up 100 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Berthoud's run defense was locked in: Valley could only muster 2.9 yards per carry. While eight picked up at least one total tackle, Newbill stood above the rest. He picked up 100 receiving yards and two scores. Berthoud's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.8.
Berthoud didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Newbill led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Resurrection Christian and Eaton, and Resurrection Christian kept the tradition alive. The Cougars simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Reds 34-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Cougars have posted against the Reds since October 28, 2016.
Berthoud better keep an eye on Britton Walston. He was instrumental in Resurrection Christian's win, rushing for 150 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also picking up 74 receiving yards. With that strong performance, Walston is now averaging an impressive 107.5 rushing yards per game.
The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-2. As for Berthoud, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Berthoud came up short against Resurrection Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 24-19. Will the Spartans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
