Volleyball Recap: Butte Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Butte was the 3-1 winner over Big Sky when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Thursday. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 19-25, 25-20.

Avery Barsness paced Butte's offense, picking up seven kills. Barsness got some help from Ellison Graham and her 23 assists.

Butte's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Big Sky, they moved to 5-4 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Looking ahead, Butte will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Great Falls at 11:00 a.m. As for Big Sky, they will venture away from home to square off against Hellgate at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
