Baseball Recap: Cascade Takes a Loss

After flying high against Stayton on Monday, Cascade came back down to earth. The Cougars lost 10-2 to the Eagles on Wednesday. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 9-1.

Caden Bitikofer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Cascade's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Stayton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season.

While Cascade had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
