Baseball Recap: Cattaraugus-Little Valley Falls to Brocton in First Game of Season

Cattaraugus-Little Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 7-2 to the Brocton Bulldogs on Thursday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Cattaraugus-Little Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was D.J. Szata, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Cattaraugus-Little Valley will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chautauqua Lake at 11:00 a.m. on the 14th. As for Brocton, they will head out to challenge Dunkirk at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
