Softball Recap: Ferndale Yellow Jackets vs. Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams

There's no place like home for Ferndale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams on Monday and snuck past 6-5.

Aubrielle Leverknight made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Leverknight has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in six consecutive pitching appearances. Leverknight was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
