Basketball Game Preview: Norman North Timberwolves vs. Edmond Memorial Bulldogs

Norman North and Edmond Memorial are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Norman North Timberwolves will be playing at home against the Edmond Memorial Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Norman North beat Putnam City 58-45. Given the Timberwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Pirates are ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Edmond Memorial waltzed into their match on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They skirted past the Broncos 58-56.

Edmond Memorial's victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Norman North, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
