Baseball Game Preview: Metro Christian Patriots vs. Sequoyah Eagles

The Metro Christian Patriots will venture away from home to square off against the Sequoyah Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Metro Christian is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Berryhill just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 7-3 to the Chiefs.

Meanwhile, Sequoyah had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since April 9, 2024.

Sequoyah's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Metro Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
