Baseball Recap: Simla Has No Trouble Against Kiowa

Simla won the last time they faced Kiowa and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cubs blew past the Indians 13-7. The Cubs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.

Teague Jones was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ethan Kissam, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.

Simla has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.2 runs over those games. As for Kiowa, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
