Basketball Game Preview: North Union Warriors vs. Northwood-Kensett Vikings

North Union has won three straight games at home, while Northwood-Kensett has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The North Union Warriors will welcome the Northwood-Kensett Vikings at 7:45 p.m.

Last Tuesday, North Union took a blow against Forest City, falling 68-32. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Indians are ranked 55th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northwood-Kensett). They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 75-37 win over West Fork. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season.

North Union's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Northwood-Kensett, their victory bumped their record up to 13-0.
