Volleyball Recap: North Rangers vs. South Rebels

North lost against South last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rangers fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 2-1. While the Rangers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rebels 25-18 in the first set.

North actually scored more points across those three sets (71-70), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-21, 27-25.

Morgan Petrecca paced North's offense, picking up 18 kills. Petrecca got some help from Lacey Staska and her 34 assists. Staska was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

South was led to victory by Olivia Langa and Payton Miozzi. Langa had 15 digs and four aces, while Miozzi had ten digs. That's the most digs Langa has posted over her last six matches.

North dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for South, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.

North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Kenston on the 6th. As for South, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Riverside on the 7th.
