Basketball Game Preview: Halifax Academy Knights vs. Atlantic Sharks

The Halifax Academy Knights will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Atlantic Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Halifax Academy is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind two weeks ago (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Halifax Academy had to suffer through a 52-13 loss at the hands of Florida School for the Deaf & Blind. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-8.

Meanwhile, Atlantic lost 62-38 to Florida School for the Deaf & Blind on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while the Dragons are ranked 73rd).

Halifax Academy was dealt a bruising 51-24 loss at the hands of Atlantic in their previous meeting back in January. Thankfully for Halifax Academy, Aurielle Reavis (who went 7 of 14 on her way to 24 points along with six steals and five boards) won't be suiting up this time.
