Soccer Game Preview: Lakeview vs. Seward

The Lakeview Vikings will challenge the Seward Bluejays at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Lakeview fell victim to Kearney Catholic and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 5-0 to the Stars.

Meanwhile, Seward kept a clean sheet against Beatrice on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Orangemen, sneaking past 1-0. That's two games straight that Seward have won by just one goal.

Seward's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6. As for Lakeview, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Lakeview might still be hurting after the 6-3 loss they got from Seward in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Vikings were down 4-0.
