Basketball Recap: Midfield Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Midfield was feeling good fresh off their 83-41 takedown of Comer last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Midfield Patriots were just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 62-61 to the Wenonah Dragons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-55 back in December of 2024.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malachi Robinson, who went 7 of 9 en route to 15 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Robinson has been hot recently, having posted three or more blocks the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Aaron Adams-Martin, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 14 points.

Midfield's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-6. As for Wenonah, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Midfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wenonah has already played their next contest (against Parker), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
