Softball Recap: Sequoia Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Sequoia took on Los Altos on Tuesday. The Sequoia Ravens fell just short of the Los Altos Eagles by a score of 6-5. The Ravens were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Ocken Maren made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Gottshall Annika (Annie), who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Sequoia now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Los Altos, their record is now 4-2.

Looking ahead, Sequoia will face off against Hillsdale at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Los Altos, they will square off against Woodside at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Los Altos is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
