Basketball Recap: Cayden Meank's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chilton County over Bozeman

Chilton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 72-66 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bozeman Bucks.

Chilton County's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cayden Meank, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 19 points and three steals. Meank's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Damarien Floyd, who shot 41% from the field en route to 18 points and eight boards.

Chilton County's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Bozeman, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Chilton County will challenge Stanhope Elmore at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bozeman, they will venture away from home to take on Bethlehem at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
