Volleyball Recap: Byron Nelson Takes a Loss

Byron Nelson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Decatur Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcat of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Byron Nelson sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-20, 23-25, 27-25, 25-27, 15-7.

Byron Nelson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Decatur, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Byron Nelson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Steele Early College on the 11th. As for Decatur, they will host Nolan Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
