Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Northeast's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Northeast won the last time they faced Camanche and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Northeast Rebels took down the Camanche Indians 71-53. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Indians are ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northeast has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Camanche, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Northeast will be playing at home against Monticello at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Northeast's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests. As for Camanche, they will head out to face off against Maquoketa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Camanche is facing Maquoketa at the right time seeing as Maquoketa is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
