Baseball Game Preview: St. Mary's Knights vs. Sleepy Eye Indians

The St. Mary's Knights will take on the Sleepy Eye Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, St. Mary's came up short against Madelia and fell 8-5. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly three runs.

Meanwhile, Sleepy Eye fell victim to Martin County West and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Mavericks. The Indians' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

St. Mary's has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Sleepy Eye, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
