Football Recap: Chaz Maxwell and Ryder Ingold Pace Norwayne Defense

If Norwayne was feeling good fresh off their 47-27 takedown of St. Clairsville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bobcats came up short against the Triway Titans on Friday, falling 36-14.

Although Norwayne took the loss, they still got scores from Jacob Bruner and Carson Arnold.

Norwayne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Chaz Maxwell and Ryder Ingold.

Luke Starr had a dynamite game For Triway., throwing for 346 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 41 yards and one score. Olley Krupp was Starr's top target, picking up 106 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Norwayne's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Triway, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Norwayne will head out on the road to challenge Garaway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Triway, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Waynedale at 7:00 p.m.
