Basketball Game Preview: Dixie Flyers vs. Snow Canyon Warriors

The Dixie Flyers will challenge the Snow Canyon Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dixie has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Snow Canyon will come in with three straight victories.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Dixie and Crimson Cliffs had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Flyers fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 57-55 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Flyers have suffered against the Mustangs since February 9, 2022.

Meanwhile, Snow Canyon didn't have too much trouble with Desert Hills on Wednesday as they won 70-56.

Snow Canyon's win came from a few key players that Dixie will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Dylan Luke, who went 6-for-11 en route to 16 points and eight boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 40.4% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Reggie MacKay, who posted 15 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

Snow Canyon's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Dixie, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Dixie came out on top in a nail-biter against Snow Canyon in their previous meeting on January 7th, sneaking past 75-72. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was MacKay, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 27 points and five boards.
