Football Recap: Mount de Sales Academy Takes a Loss

Mount de Sales Academy is still winless after their game against Gatewood on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gators. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Cavaliers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mount de Sales Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Gatewood, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Mount de Sales Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 21-3 victory against Central Fellowship Christian Academy on the 19th. As for Gatewood, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Augusta Prep at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th. The contest will give the Gators their first taste of in-conference action this season.
