Volleyball Recap: Meridian Finds Home Court Redemption Against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City

There's no place like home for Meridian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats by a score of 2-0 on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 last Saturday.

Meridian easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20.

Alyssa Meisenhelter paced Meridian's offense, picking up ten kills. Meisenhelter got some help from Julia Meisenhelter and her 12 assists. Kaci Hayes controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Meridian pushed their record up to 8-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Meridian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Central A & M on the 18th. As for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against St. Anthony on the 16th.
