Softball Game Preview: Shawnee Redskins vs. Scott City Rams

The Shawnee Redskins will square off against the Scott City Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Shawnee's offense. They lost 10-0 to Elverado on Tuesday. The Redskins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Scott City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Bernie, falling 14-7. Surprisingly, this marked the Rams' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Summer Wagner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Marley Conklin, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Shawnee's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Scott City, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
