Baseball Game Preview: Bowman Academy Eagles vs. East Chicago Central Cardinals

The Bowman Academy Eagles will head out to face off against the East Chicago Central Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Bowman Academy will be strutting in after a victory while East Chicago Central will be coming in after a loss.

Bowman Academy took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past 21st Century Charter 11-2. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, East Chicago Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Hammond Baptist, falling 6-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Cardinals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

East Chicago Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamonta Morris, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

East Chicago Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Bowman Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.

Bowman Academy suffered a grim 18-3 defeat to East Chicago Central in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
