Softball Recap: Southfield Arts & Tech Comes Up Short

Southfield Arts & Tech fell victim to Shrine Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

London Adams, 2028 put in work no matter where she played. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Adams, 2028 was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Cienna Bell, 2028 made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole four bases while going 2-for-2. Kendall Evans, 2028 was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Southfield Arts & Tech's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Shrine Catholic, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southfield Arts & Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Renaissance at 4:30 p.m. on April 8. As for Shrine Catholic, they will venture away from home to face off against Parkway Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
