Alta Loma moved up to 482 from 572 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Baseline. A 42-13 win over Grand Terrace helped the Braves improve their standing.
Alta Loma was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. Joe Szczepanski's team defeated Grand Terrace 42-13 earlier in the week.
Nico Martinez and Marcellus Hunter gave the Braves a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Martinez threw for 12 yards and one touchdown, while Hunter ran for 111 yards. Teammate Donovan Walton added to the ground attack by rushing for 61 yards.
Briton Noskof was the best wideout in the league this week as Glendora fell to Charter Oak. Noskof racked up four receptions for 58 yards. Christian Fulham helped Glendora's passing attack out by catching two balls for 36 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Adam Friederichsen of Rancho Cucamonga is the league leader in passing yards this season with 727. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, the Tartans' Cade Lindsey has rushed for 482 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jordan Villamin. The Etiwanda star has 15 catches for 224 yards.
Upland suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 45-41 loss to Upland. The Highlanders/Scots had been ranked 14th, but fell to 32 following the defeat.
