Basketball Recap: Kaydin Nelson Key Part of Team Effort in Bobcats Win

There's no place like home for Bloomfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Cuba Rams on Thursday as they made off with a 57-37 win. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Bloomfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaydin Nelson out in front who posted six points along with 15 rebounds and four blocks. Those four blocks gave Nelson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elijah Cooks, who put up 13 points and four steals.

Bloomfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 17 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Bloomfield's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cuba, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Bloomfield will head out on the road to take on Farmington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cuba, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 76-40 loss against Tohatchi on the 12th.
